When the people buy clothing ,most of them pay more attention to the comfort, health and protective function. In recent years, the export of some functional textile has had an obvious growth.
Recently,ISO issued <the textile antifungal performance testing standard part 2> and <fabric antistatic performance testing standard>. The series of standards are used of measure the antifungal and antistatic properties of specific functional textiles(including woven and knitted fabric, fiber, yarn and finished products, etc). From the August to now, the organization has issued three functional testing standards.
As the functional textile exports continue to become more popular ,and the corresponding testing standards system is gradually developing, ISO has established a series of function evaluation methods including antiflaming, uvioresistant, radiation protection, comfort and water-absorbing and some more function. It represents the international evaluation system of functional textile has obtained the further perpection.
Inspection and quarantine experts point out that for the privately-owned small and medium enterprise, because of the low additional value, they won’t be able to get abundant export profit . They need to increase the scale of functional products and enhance the independent research and development. Therefore, the relevant enterprises should know the following: on the one hand, they need to get the further study of the international textile industry development trends and some revelant standards; on the other hand, they should increase the research input to develop the high additional value products and strive to enter the international high-end product market.
