Combed cotton is an extremely soft version of cotton made by specially treating the cotton fibers before they are spun into yarn.
Combing cotton is what makes cotton feel more exclusive, stronger and softer, thanks to a highly developed production
process. Combed cotton is treated with extreme care from the time it is harvested to the time it becomes an essential
ingredient in clothing production. Just after it has been harvested the cotton is cleaned to remove dirt and seeds. Then,
to be able to make wool or threads, the fibers of the cotton are separated and lined up to lie in the same direction. This is
called carding. The process is rather time,consuming but in the case of combed cotton it cannot be skipped.
Only the finest brushes are used when pulling out any remaining impurities, leaving behind only the strongest and longest
fibers. This improves the strength and exclusiveness of
combed cotton. All the short and pickling fibers that decrease the durability of conventional cotton are removed.
This means that when producing combed cotton, the quality can be significantly increased by removing 15% of the initial
cotton volum.providing us with the type of premium socks we sell. Combed cotton socks feel much softer to the skin and
are more.resistant to dirt. The threads lie more tightly together after combing which makes the socks more durable and
with less prickles.
All in all, our combed cotton socks are with much better quality than casual cotton socks.
