Our company, JiYang Industrial Co., Ltd, which is based in Hangzhou, has donated 622 bales of socks (two pairs per bale) to mountainous area inJiangxiProvincein November, 2012. This is the second stop with “Warm Current” this year.
“Free Lunch” is a project founded by DengFei, more than five hundred journalists, scores of domestic mainstream Medias and the China Social Welfare Education Foundation (CSWEF). It advocates providing free lunch for poor children. In these areas, children have to go to school on foot every day for the school is far away from home. They always have lunch at school but just rice, pickles and sauce. They couldn’t absorb adequate nutrition from these simple foods. And even in cold winter, they still need to walk on the cold mountain road by wearing the worn shoes and thin socks.
With this in mind and our concept of “Serve the society”, we donated these socks for children and hoping that they can have a warm winter by wearing our socks. Besides, we hope more and more individuals and enterprises could join in this activity. We believe social force is a tremendous force.
