Other up coming events, Milan-Sanremo:

On another note, the Milan San Remo cycling
event is scheduled to open
next week on March 17th.

The Milan San Remo is an annual cycling race
between Milan and Sanremo. It is the longest
professional one-day race at
298 km. The first was in 1907, when Lucien
Petit-Breton won. Today it is one
of the ‘Moments¡¯ of European cycling, and
results contribute towards the UCI
World Ranking; until 2007 it was part of the
UCI Pro Tour. From 1999 to 2005,
a women’s race, the Primavera Rosa was
organized alongside the men’s but at a
shorter distance.

Milan ¨C San Remo is often called the Sprinters’
classic while its sister Italian race the Giro
di Lombardia held in
autumn is the Climbers’ classic.

We wish all participants
success and good luck.

Maxmega Cycling
socks:

These professional cycling socks are
designed by our own sponsored racing
team. They are made after the special
needs that cyclists require. Wearing
tight, hard cycling shoes presents certain
difficulties in finding the right
sock. It has to be thin so as not to feel too
bulky and clumsy in the shoes
and yet has to be thick enough to add support and
protection to the areas of
the foot most under stress ¨C toe pads, heel and
midsection. Another point
well mentioned is allowing good circulation which
will prevent fatigue and
pain as well as removing lactic acid effectively. The
third point is moisture
and temperature control. This can be put in check by
using the correct
materials. The Maxmega sock give positive and complete
solutions to all these
issues, firstly by using a thin layer on the top of the
foot, providing
ventilation and soft protection from chafing, then a thicker
layer on the
bottom with terry cushioning around sensitive stress areas. Adding
special
shaped cushion zones for support around ankles and foot arches using
Lycra®
can provide a clever solution to enhancing blood flow around and through
the
foot. As for toe seams it is known that a ¡®flat¡¯ or also known as
¡°seamless¡±
handmade toe seam provides the best solution for comfort around
toe knuckles as
standard machine made seams can bunch up an press on the toe
leading to enhanced
discomfort. A ¡°Y¡± shaped heel seam adds strength and
durability as well as
anatomic positioning of the sock so as to prevent
unwanted movement and sliding
while wearing it. In these socks, different
blends of moisture and temperature controlling
materials such as Coolmax®,
Dri-Release® and Porous Nylon provide sweat wicking
and good absorption for
the removal of moisture from the skin surface to the
outer layer of the sock
where quick drying materials lets sweat evaporate. In
total these socks
provide an overall answer for hobbyists as well as
professionals and have
been worn in different events with positive
feedback.
